I'm gonna be ordering a Hori HRAP3 (since I play Melty Blood PC) and I'll also be testing it on 3s MAME. However, the HRAP3 is totally incompatible with PS2s because it has a USB plug and there is no converter in existence that goes USB -> PS2. One option is to get a HRAP2 (it has a PS2 plug) and then get a Pelican PS2-PS3 converter. Lag is minimal, if not nonexistent.

I'd suggest the HRAP2 w/ Pelican option for the compatibility, unless you or your friends have a PS3 with legit games. The only problem would be the price of the HRAP2. It's rare and people know this, so the price is usually $120+. If you're willing to drive to Temple City, you can goto this place called Japan Video Games. I'm not sure if they sell any HRAP2s in their store, but they had a lot of them in their booth in Anime Expo '07 going for $100. Maybe they have extras?

The quick disconnects in the SFAC-Happ mod linked to earlier: what kind are they, male or female?  They haven't written me back in a timely fashion.

Just completed the mod.  The difference is like night and day.  Now I just need a strategy guide...

Hey guys, just a heads up.

The Virtua High Grade Stick made by Sega for the PS3 is 100% sanwa parts (stick and all buttons). The only problem is the layout is a bit weird for SF/Tekken players cause the stick is designed for VF.

However the internals of this stick is beautiful, all buttons have quick disconnects making it easy as pie to rearrange your buttons for Street Fighter/Tekken. The construction is top of the line quality, heavy metal box, extra metal plates added for stability. There is a ton of room left inside so if you ever wanted to add an extra PCB (like a PSX) for multi-console it is very do-able. It also works for the PC perfectly.

And at an average price of $80-$100 for 100% sanwa, PS3/PC, excellent construction, good name stick. Not a bad deal. It's still available for sale on play-asia last time I checked as well.
